The Qatari Ministry of Labor, in collaboration with Google Cloud and Mannai InfoTech, has launched the “Ouqoul” platform. This initiative offers advanced employment services for expatriate graduates and private sector companies using AI to streamline hiring.
“Ouqoul” aims to create a high-productivity labour market by retaining skilled university graduates in Qatar. Moreover, the platform covers all employment stages, from resume creation to job applications, interviews, and contract signing.
The platform includes three interfaces for expatriate graduates, Qatari university graduates, and private sector companies. Additionally, it features a central matching system to align skills with job requirements.
Sheikha Najwa bint Abdul Rahman Al Thani emphasized “Ouqoul” leverages expatriate talents and ensures skill retention in Qatar’s labour market. Consequently, this strengthens the local economy.
Ghassan Costa from Google Cloud highlighted AI’s transformative power in facilitating recruitment. It enables graduates and companies to connect and thrive.
Furthermore, Beno MR of Mannai InfoTech stated the project supports professional ambitions in Qatar. It drives innovation and fosters beneficial partnerships for the community.
“Ouqoul” offers services like creating specialized resumes, recommending training courses, and simplifying job searches in the private sector. Thus, companies can quickly post job opportunities and find suitable candidates.
The platform features an automated chat system, a central matching system, advanced data analysis, skill improvement suggestions, career guidance tests, and integration with the Ministry of Labor services.
The “Ouqoul” platform aims to support national economic growth by improving hiring efficiency. Consequently, it increases employment opportunities for expatriate graduates in Qatar.
Private sector companies can post job opportunities, search for candidates, and manage hiring processes quickly using “Ouqoul”. The AI-based matching algorithm helps find the best candidates and conduct online interviews.
In addition, companies benefit from quick services, lower fees, fast approvals, and immediate work permits for expatriate university graduates in Qatar. This enhances the hiring process.
“Ouqoul” also provides valuable information for universities in Qatar. Since it is connected to the labour market information system, this helps improve curricula to meet market demands.
The Qatari Ministry of Labor has launched several electronic services and platforms. Examples include “Istimrar” and “Basher,” which developed smart electronic services and enhanced the labour sector in Qatar. This improves the hiring process.
