The Qatar Ministry of Justice has announced the launch of a new package of digital services through the “Sak” app, as part of its efforts to modernize real estate registration and documentation services and to promote digital transformation in the delivery of legal and real estate services.
This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of the real estate registration and documentation sector, providing faster and easier services for citizens, residents, and investors, in line with the Ministry’s vision to achieve leadership in this field.
The new services offered by the app include issuing replacement property deeds for lost or damaged ones, with the option to receive them via Qatar Post, as well as issuing ownership reports that provide detailed information about properties.
The services also include correcting property owner details and property types to ensure the accuracy of registered data, along with mortgage and mortgage release services that can now be recorded and canceled electronically without the need for traditional paperwork.
The “Sak” app has undergone significant technical updates, including activating QR codes on property deeds, allowing users to view public property details by simply scanning the code with their camera.
The app also enables users to pinpoint property locations using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and provides directions to properties via Google Maps.
Additionally, the app offers detailed information about property owners and properties when accessed on smart devices, enhancing its accuracy and ease of use.
The upgraded version of the “Sak” app has integrated several innovative features, such as the “Absher” service for facilitating electronic verifications, the “Real Estate Valuator” app for accurate property price estimations, and the real estate bulletin that provides up-to-date information about Qatar’s real estate market.
The electronic services offered through the app now allow transactions to be fully completed online, including the receipt of legal documents or physical copies of transactions via Qatar Post.
These developments include issuing replacement property deeds for lost or damaged ones, correcting property details, and issuing ownership reports electronically, which can be received via email. This significantly reduces the need to visit Ministry offices and enhances the speed and efficiency of service delivery.
Launching these services is part of the Ministry of Justice’s vision to enhance digital transformation and streamline legal procedures to deliver modern services that improve the business environment and bolster real estate investment in Qatar.
These efforts aim to provide a better user experience, boost efficiency, and keep pace with global technological advancements, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
With these updates, the Qatar Ministry of Justice reaffirms its commitment to offering innovative services that reflect its dedication to continuous development and simplifying the lives of citizens and residents, thereby supporting the national economy and enhancing the investment climate in the country.
